"Lyapi" when using photos for website design

On the “Greenhouse of Social Technologies” page, the FB posted a comparison of photos from the main page of the new civil project of the oligarch Maxim Nogotkov Yopolis and original photos from sites from which the photos were taken. Users found one photo in the photo bank , the other on the website for the selection of technical staff in the Netherlands from the Jobs page.

As you can see, despite serious investments in the development of the project - $ 1 million, the designers decided to follow the road tested for years, “Russifying” the photos of foreigners with inscriptions in Russian. So, the first picture on the site with two pretty ladies and a glamorous and young man was supplemented with the text “I signed up with Yopolis, because I believe that we ourselves can change the country. Fedor, student "[compare with the original: Three young adults looking for a cofee shop.] A factory worker in the Netherlands, respectively, reports:" I think the state of the future should be managed like this. Sergey, shift manager.
This confirms the well-known fact: buying a finished photo, albeit non-exclusive, is a faster and cheaper way to fill the site with content than creating images on its own.
For an exclusive license of money, apparently, in these situations is not enough, regardless of the number of investments. As they say in Lurkmore - “By inserting some smoking n ** du in the advertisement of your fire extinguishers, you can suddenly find it tomorrow as an illustration of an article about massage parlors that will incredibly spoil the image and impact on the target audience.”
When we worked on a number of projects, we encountered the same problem. Although the contract was written something like "the Contractor guarantees that the transfer of rights ... does not violate the copyright of third parties, including both property and personal non-property rights," but in the brief it was indicated that the illustrations are custom-made as unique, we stole the photos. They caught designers more than once or twice.
Examples can be found abound, say, the other day in the Bigdan blog they posted an advertisement in which the same girl goes in advertising for different banks.

The question is - how do you fight with such feils / protect yourself from them? Not the very same all draw.
