
Yesterday, November 23, turned 20 years old the first smartphone in history. In 1992, at the COMDEX trade show in Las Vegas, the world-first IBM Simon smartphone was introduced to the world.
It was designed by IBM using telecommunications company Bell South. In one device, engineers have combined the functions of a mobile phone, fax and pager. It was equipped with a touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard.
IBM Simon had a calendar, a calculator, several games, an address book, world time and email.
