Adobe
is going to release a beta version of its online graphic editor Photoshop Express before the end of this year. The company indicated that work on the online version of Photoshop will be completed in 2008.
Photoshop Express is an online lightweight version of the Adobe Photoshop desktop photo editor, which will primarily serve as an addition to various third-party online services. For example, in social photo hosting sites like Photobucket.
Summing up, the release of Adobe Photoshop Express is one more step to transfer all of its
applications online , and a way to compete with Microsoft and Google. Last month, Adobe Media Player was released, which is used by services such as CBS, PBS, Yahoo Video, Meredith Corporation, Blip.tv, Fora.tv, Motionbox, MyToons and StimTV. Adobe launched the online text editor
Buzzword yesterday , which is, however, in beta testing.
