Astrophysicists also found use for NVidia GPU

Following the Russian hackers, the power of NVidia Tesla GPUs is gradually being mastered by foreign scientists as well. Due to the built-in parallelism, Tesla processors work as ideal “number crushers” in massive parallel computing.

For astrophysicists from all over America, NVidia organized a special event called AstroGPU , which began work today at Princeton. There, experts and scientists will discuss the capabilities of the CUDA compiler, as well as the best areas of application of Tesla for scientific computing.
