Representatives of the Finnish startup Jolla , engaged in developing the mobile operating system SailFish, which is based on MeeGo, today in Helsinki held an official presentation of their product and the SDK preview for developers. Personally, the presentation was led by new Jolla CEO Mark Dillon (previous - Jussi Hurmola - suddenly left the company a month ago)
As far as you can understand, there is no live device with the system running yet, as well as slides with examples of UI - in the press release there is a link to an advertising video that can be viewed below and which clearly shows that swype gestures are used to control the screens (and with some attention, a small green android is clearly visible). There are already features comparing the SailFish interface with a combination of Windows Phone and Android.

You can also see how someone shows that SailFish is already working on its Nokia N950.
UPD: Video demonstration of SailFish OS:
At the core of the Sailfish OS SDK is the Mer core, Qt Creator, the original Jolla UI, and other frameworks. [ Press Release ]
