Hello to all!
Our company decided to use Windows.
Partnership and all that ... All related services are also under the control of screw servers. The same things are with the mail. In EPAM mail goes through Exchange 2010 without external POP / IMAP / SMTP, etc.
For the vast majority of users, this is not a problem, but an advantage. Native technologies make work more convenient, and Microsoft Outlook 2010 (And some recently, in 2013) - the perfect tool. But what do Linux users do? Using the OWA web interface in general is not comme il faut, and Evolution does not want to work with any of its native MAPI transport. Thunderbird, as you know, also has no native support.
For a long time, I used the DavMail “adapter”, which the
article put me to the mind. But, like a real Linux user, I do not like surrogates. And proxying seems to me "not true." I could not find an alternative for a long time and yesterday, I finally found what I was looking for. This is an
ExQuilla plugin. It allows you to create native Exchange accounts and work with the server via
SOAP .
')
ExQuilla is placed in the add-ons manager. After that, the ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange item appears in the Tools menu. There we will be able to add an account to work with Exchange.
Next, enter the login details:
And server url:
And the url is not normal, as everyone is used to, but showing on
https: //
yourcompany.com /EWS/Exchange.asmx
This link will take you to the
WSDL page, with which you can receive and send mail.
Everything is very simple! It works great, at least with us.
Plugin supports:
- Read, reply, forward
- attachments
- folders
- Thunderbird filters
Do not support:
- Exchange Tag Synchronization
- Offline package
- View email source
- Global search
- Star marks
Address book supports:
- Standard Contact Fields
- Contact subfolders
Address book does not support
- Non-standard fields, eg husband / wife
- A photo
I am ready to give up features that I didn’t have in order to have native Exchange support in my favorite email client. Perhaps you too =)
Have a good day!
UPD: After setting the filters - stuck, Thunderbird stuck tightly. I had to clean up and reconfigure everything.
