Domain investor Dominic Muller created the
Domain Guardians website, where he posted a list of large companies that own premium domains. Almost all names on the list are the most popular keywords in the .COM zone. Also, it includes ultrashort names of 1-2 characters.
At the moment, about 400 domain names are posted on the site, and the list will be updated later.
Domain investor Elliot Silver, who wrote a post about the Domain Guardians site on his
blog , noted several other domains with keywords used by well-known companies:
')
Pacific Coast Feather Company - Featherbeds.com
Pacific Coast Feather Company - DownComforters.com
Dreyers - FrozenYogurt.com
Vail Resorts - SkiRentals.com
Vail Resorts - Snow.com
Landor - Branding.com
US Navy - Navy.com
IAC - Green.com
Orange - Orange.com
In his opinion, this and other similar resources can be very valuable for all domain investors who work directly with end customers. For example, offering a company to buy a domain with a keyword directly related to its activities, it makes sense to give a link to Domain Guardians in your letter. It is likely that your buyer, seeing that large companies are actively using names with keywords in their business, will want to follow their example and buy your domain.
