System76 has released a gaming laptop with Ubuntu

A very interesting news has just caught my eye: the fairly well-known company System76, which previously produced gaming laptops with Windows pre-installed, announced the gaming laptop Bonobo Extreme. Difference from all other laptops is pre-installed Ubuntu, not Windows. Since Steam is now available for Ubuntu, the company decided to release such a novelty.

Previously, System76 has already released laptops and desktops preinstalled with Ubuntu OS, but according to the characteristics, those devices did not stand near Bonobo Extreme, so to speak. The base model is based on the Intel i7 3630QM 2.4 processor running at 2.4 GHz, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 670MX with 3 GB GDDR5 video memory, 8 GB DDR3 RAM and a 500 GB hard disk. Display size - 17.3 inches.

The cost of the laptop, of course, rather big, and is 1,499 US dollars. With such a price, the cost of the OS is not very significant, but the idea of releasing a gaming laptop with Linux on board looks interesting.

Detailed information about the laptop can be found on the manufacturer's website at this link: System76 .
