Opera launches music store specifically for Russia

Artem Zinoviev, Director of Business Development in Russia and the CIS, Opera Software, said that especially for Russia and Opera Mini users (smartphones and regular phones; other browsers will also work), the music service muz.opera.ru, operating under a fixed subscription scheme, is launched for 150 rubles per month, it will be possible to download and listen to music from a catalog of more than 2 million units of audio recordings without restrictions.

Russia is one of the key markets for Opera. Therefore, first, the service will work in Russia, and only then, if it turns out to be in demand here, Opera will start working on its launch in other countries,

Opera Software by the end of 2013 counts on 1.5 million active users of the service, whose name is not yet known. Revenue distribution will be done in the following way: Russian labels will receive 15-25% of the track cost, Western - 30-40%, and mobile operators, providing delivery of service to subscribers, will receive 50%.
