The city administration explained that such a decision was made not only to bring information about the city and the government’s activities to foreign Internet users, but also to increase Moscow’s international prestige and to create a positive image of the city.

According to Vesti , the Moscow Department of International Relations has been tasked with developing a rationale for creating an information portal in foreign languages ​​by the end of this year. After the approval of this document, an application will be submitted to the Moscow Office of Information Management for inclusion in the action plan of the City Electronic Program "Electronic Moscow".
