Invite came quickly enough. After reading this wonderful post, I did not find answers to many questions ... Even after running for a couple of hours, linking a couple of portals and pumping them through the “nehochu”, there were still questions. Google and one friend moved about helped to figure out what I decided to share with the community, adding a little and expanding the best manual found. About Ingress

Ingress is a game with augmented reality in which you need to go to specific real places and hack portals. The game has two factions: Enlightened (Enlightened) and Resistance (Resistance).
Widely popular in narrow circles, the Niantic Project was a viral ad for this trickster.

Underlying history

A scientific experiment at CERN created a chain reaction that released unusual energy (XM) around the world. The faction is trying to help the Shapers penetrate Earth. Followers believe that the Shapers will bring great enlightenment that will provide a great breakthrough for all of humanity.

The faction protects the Earth from the invading Shapers. These are people who fear progress, but the Resistance is strongly convinced that they are protecting humanity.

How to play?

• Look for portals nearby on this map (registration is required)
• Go to the portals
• Within a radius of 50 meters from the portal, start hacking them.
• Successful hacking will give you different items: keys, resonators, XMP and so on.
• On each portal you need to install 8 resonators
• Installing shields will reduce the likelihood of hacking.
• Head to the next portal and repeat the steps.
• Two portals can be linked
• Linking three portals - profit

It is possible to create portals

• You need to enable GPS tags in the camera application
• Take a photo of a landmark
• Share photo via NIA Super OP
• Email for review

If the photo meets the general requirements for portals, it will be added to the game in 2-3 weeks.

Hacking and seizure of portals

When you approach an enemy portal you can attack it with XMP and eventually hack it. The probability of hacking the enemy portal is much lower.
