Replacing iPod firmware
Today for the first time I held in hands a new iPod Classic brought from the USA.
I really liked its interface, which is implemented in its latest firmware.
I want to ask - did anyone try to install the firmware from the new iPod Classic (80 or 160 GB) release autumn 2007 on the iPod (80 GB) release - autumn 2006?
Is it possible to do this or not?
If real, then what, i.e. What software need to be used for this?
NOTE: Now I'm using the WINDOWS iPod (80 GB) software version: 1.2.1 + iTunes 7.5.
