Google has invested nearly a billion dollars in alternative energy

Google reported that the company bought a share in the authorized capital of a wind farm in Iowa in the amount of $ 75 million.

Thus, the total investment of the search giant in alternative energy sources already amounts to more than 990 million dollars.

The wind farm is located in the small town of Rippi (Green County).
It is expected that power plants will be able to fully provide electricity to more than 15,000 homes.

In addition, in 2013, the company plans to complete the construction of a large system of solar power plants in the Mojave Desert (California).
