Ingress. The world is not what it seems

Meet Ingress - a new game from Google. The scene of action is an alternative reality. The recent project Niantic, by the way, was a viral ad for this action.

You have to take one of the parties - to fight for power ("The Enlightened"), or for the rebels ("Resistance").

The application installed on the android device will take you to the locations of the “Exotic Matter” cluster (real geographic coordinates that need to be visited).




An important role here is played by a team game - your faction needs to gain control over the energy portals and create an area that the faction can control. Well, to win back the same zones created by enemies.

In the end, there will be only one team to win. The battle for the territory will last from a year to a year and a half, after which the result will be announced.

Niantic's John Hanke reported that when creating the game, developers were inspired by the brainchild of JJ Abrams ( LOST Fringe).

While a version for Android is available, it is expected for iOS.

The project site is rolling out right now, in the process of writing the topic, the guys were still finishing the layout.

To take part in the game, you need to get an invitation, leave a request on the site , and download the application.





The mobile application will keep you updated on what is happening in the game around you now, and the web version will show global events on the entire map.
