The guys from Elliptic Labs have developed a contactless control system, while working only with Windows 8. It uses ultrasound to quickly remove data on the position of the human hand in space relative to the screen. You can control the system using gestures, without touching the screen with your fingers - change the active window, scroll the text, in general - all in the video below.

About the advantages of such technology

- it uses less energy (as it is claimed - by 95%) than the motion tracking system with the camera.
- using the SDK, you can create new types of interactions (for example, enter some unique movement for a particular action).
- screen without fingerprints.
- it is possible to capture the position of the hand from different angles with respect to the screen.
