Synology announces RackStation RS10613xs + and RX1213sas release

Synology has announced the launch of the new corporate-class NAS server RackStation RS10613xs + with ultra-high performance up to 400,000 IOPS reads with the ability to scale up to 106 drives. In addition, the new product has several levels of redundancy, to ensure reliable and continuous operation.

RS10613xs + supports SAS / SATA 6G interface and SSD drives, and has the ability to increase capacity up to 424TB when connecting eight RX1213sas expansion modules. The new RackStation is powered by a Xeon Quad Core 3.3 GHz CPU and 8GB ECC RAM with a capacity of up to 32GB. RS10613xs + achieves read speeds of more than 2,000 MB / s in RAID 5 mode using a 10GB dual connection. In addition, the use of SSD cache, improves device performance by more than 50%, with intensive random reading.

A cluster solution based on Synology High Availability (SHA), transparent to the user, transfers all services from a failed server to another active unit, from a group of interconnected devices, without any interruption of work. To ensure optimal and maximum system performance, both the RS10613xs + and the RX1213sas expansion module are equipped with redundant power supplies and fans, and are connected to each other via a dual data bus.

Today, RS10613xs + offers information storage solutions for large servers to create a virtual environment of Microsoft Windows Sever 2012 Hyper-V and VMware VSphere 5 VAAI, and also supports the configuration of Citrix XenServer.
