The budget for 2007 can significantly increase funding for
the Electronic Russia program , Deputy State Duma Speaker Vladimir Katrenko said during an Internet conference.
According to him, now there is an active discussion of the draft federal budget for the next year in the so-called “zero reading”. About 2.8 billion rubles have been allocated for the project, and, according to Katrenko, the deputies hope to increase this figure.
The Vice Speaker explained that parliamentarians are in favor of increasing funding for the Electronic Russia project to 4 billion rubles. “I really hope that financial investment in the development of this program will allow us to reach a qualitatively new level of production of information systems and technologies as soon as possible,
