Sony continues to work on PS2
Sony Corporation, as well as millions of console gamers, at the very beginning of this month, celebrated the seven-year anniversary of the Playstation 2 console. That is, this console can rightfully be counted among both morally and technically outdated devices. Nevertheless, PS2 games are still being released, and Sony itself is providing very significant attention to its species-looking offspring.
In particular, today it became known that the company has released a new modification of the PS2 (model SCPH-90000), which differs from the previous one with only one: the built-in power supply. Those who have seen the modern “ployka” of the previous generation (the so-called slim version) know that the dimensions of the console, compared to its first version, are more than modest. Nevertheless, Sony engineers managed to squeeze a full-fledged power supply into the thin case, which had to be located between the socket and the console itself.
The official cost of the updated PS2 is about $ 140. Console sales will begin in Japan on November 22. But if SCPH-90000 gets to Russia, only time will tell.
