New Chromebook for $ 199 - Acer C7

The last chroma book, presented by Google, is probably the most inexpensive device from the entire range of chroma books (at the moment this model line is not so extensive). The price of the device is only $ 199, it is even less than the cost of most budget smartphones.

The difference between this chromabuk from "colleagues" is that the Acer C7 does not have an ARM processor. Instead, an Intel Celeron 847 Sandy Bridge processor with a core frequency of 1.1 GHz is installed. There are other differences, and quite interesting ones. For example, this netbook has a hard disk of 320 gigabytes. Chrome OS download takes about 18 seconds, which is pretty fast. And yes, the amount of RAM is 2 GB (DDR3). According to the developers, a chromabuk can play HD videos without problems.

The battery life of Acer C7 is 3.5 hours. This is not enough, but, in principle, most budget laptops and netbooks work offline a little longer.

Buyers of Acer C7 have at their disposal, in addition to 320 GB of local file space, another 100 GB of file space in the Google Drive cloud storage (for two years, not forever).

Google will soon launch Acer C7’s sale on Google Play starting November 13. In addition, this knob can also be purchased from some retailers, including Best Buy.

This model is a slightly less productive version of the Aspire V5-171 laptop, where Windows is replaced with Chrome OS.
