Anti-Piracy Websites to Appear in G8 Countries
The heads of state of the G8 adopted a document on the fight against intellectual piracy and counterfeit products, which stipulates the measures necessary to counter these phenomena, Interfax reports .
Among the measures that will form the basis of the G8’s plan to combat intellectual piracy and counterfeit products is the creation in each country of the G8 of an Internet site that would contain information about the mechanisms and procedures existing in the state necessary to protect threats, as well as measures taken to counter intellectual property violations.
The document also envisages the development and launching of pilot projects to provide technical assistance in the framework of the G8 in interested developing countries in order to create the necessary conditions to combat the trade in counterfeit and pirated goods.
