Lumix LX7 vs Nokia 808 PureView vs iPhone 4s

I recently drove into the club of my Moscow youth in the middle of the night. Chinese pilot Jao Yes, and something like that, from painfully familiar interiors, I decided that I decided to take pictures of them on all the photo gadgets I had with me. And I had with me: one of the best smartphone cameras - iPhone 4s, the recent Panasonic Lumix LX7 model with magnificent Leica optics, and of course the Nokia 808 PureView super-mega camera phone of all times. The results of the comparative photo test can be viewed under the screen.

As usual, I will not impose my opinion, but in my opinion the superiority of the Nokia 808 PureView is obvious. And the matter is not at all in the notorious 41 Mp. The shooting on the Nokia 808 was done in PureView mode and the file was created as if shooting 8 MP camera. No manual settings were applied in any of the cases. The iA intelligent automatic mode was set up on the Lumix LX7, the iPhone 4s also shot as it was shooting - its camera as we know and has no settings at all, this option is provided in iOS to third-party developers.

So, in my opinion, the superiority of the Nokia 808 PureView is obvious, and the point is not in megapixels, but only in software algorithms for processing light information. I have noticed for a long time that Pureview works very well with light, capturing all the nuances of the shadows and thus creating space and atmosphere both in the photograph and in the video. As a result, the last time I especially became interested in b / w shooting on the Nokia 808, where, accordingly, the work of light and shadow is especially visible. A post on this topic is still ahead, because b / w shooting on the Nokia 808 PureView really deserves special attention.

I was especially disappointed in this comparative test of the iPhone 4S, which I considered, and I still continue to consider it in part, as one of the best mobile cameras. Nevertheless, he showed absolutely devil-may-care attitude to light and colors, although the sensitivity to him is at a height, but on the other hand, the sensitivity of light to sensitivity is different, as they say.

As for the Lumix LX7 in the intelligent-automatic mode, he gave a good result, though I expected better. However, these are only my first tests with this device, so there will still be pictures from him and his separate review, which he certainly deserves.
