Rambler Media yesterday announced the completion of the transaction with the
eHouse holding to purchase controlling stakes in the
Damochka.Ru social network and BannerBank banner exchange system.
Recall that the preliminary agreement of the partners was announced on June 30 (what Habrahabr
wrote about). Then Rambler Media announced that the company had an option - the right to buy 49% of the remaining shares of both projects, and now this news has been confirmed.
Irina Hoffman, CEO of Rambler Media, commenting on the deal, said that the made acquisitions testify to the company's focus on constantly increasing the number of services available to the entire 23 million RuNet audience. The social network Damochka.Ru, which is very popular in Russia, will consolidate the image of Rambler as the leading multiservice Internet portal, and Bannerbank will help expand advertising coverage, since more than 80 thousand sites are members of the network.
