ECMAScript4: a review of the new standard, the foundation of JavaScript2

The updated network language standard ECMAScript4 (ES4) takes into account the requirements that have arisen in the development of larger AJAX, Flash and Flex projects. However, one of the conditions of the ES4 standard is compatibility with the previous standard, ES3.
