FAS took the scam on short numbers

The Federal Antimonopoly Service accepted the case against OJSC MegaFon, OJSC Mobile TeleSystems, OJSC VimpelCom on the grounds of violation of part 1 of Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" when providing subscribers with a mobile radiotelephone communication service to provide information - reference and entertainment services (services) of third parties (content providers).



In order to fully and comprehensively consider the case, the FAS of Russia asks the subscribers of MegaFon OJSC, Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, VimpelCom OJSC to provide the following information:
')
1. the content of incoming SMS messages from the short numbers of content providers, upon receipt of which the funds were withdrawn from the personal account of the mobile phone;

2. specification of the account, from which it follows that the withdrawal of funds occurred upon receipt of incoming SMS-messages from the short numbers of content providers;

3. correspondence with the service provider of the telecommunication operator or content provider regarding the debiting of funds from the account.
