The novelty is equipped with a 14 ”widescreen TFT-display with HD + resolution, 1600x900 pixels ... The screen coating is glossy. Thanks to this, the picture is good, with vivid and pleasant shades for the eyes. The screen is protected by tempered glass Gorilla Glass, which allows not to be afraid of scratches and scuffs during operation. I liked the display with a good margin of brightness (420 cd / m²), high visual clarity and the lack of noticeable graininess. Built-in frame display webcam with a resolution of 1.3 MP, as well as a microphone.
The keyboard is made on an island type, the keys are separated from each other by a stock of empty space, the key travel is shallow, but comfortable, without clicks. On the keys there are barely noticeable grooves that should help position the fingers. The keyboard does not bend even when strongly pressed.
In addition, it is protected from moisture and has a key backlight, which can be turned off manually or on timeout after a certain period of inactivity on the part of the user.
Touch touchpad responds well to touch throughout its area. There are standard multi-touch gestures that are supported by the operating system.
The novelty uses a productive cost-effective hardware platform from Intel based on cost-effective Ivy Bridge processors. Integrated into the processor, the graphics core, Intel HD Graphics 4000, supports DirectX 11 and provides good performance with low power consumption. Most interestingly, the new product has a discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 630M video adapter with 1 GB of fast GDDR5 video memory. Storage capacity - up to 500 GB. Optionally available solid-state drive up to 512 GB.
