Google turns off background images in search

This morning, going to the google search homepage was waiting for me unpleasant news.



I have been there for two years, there is a photograph of my wife, and I was very pleased to watch her every time I discovered my favorite search engine. It is a pity that soon I will again have to observe a dull white background ...

And here is the company explained this decision:

Thank you for using background images. We want the Google homepage to be convenient for all users. Therefore, we have decided to disable the ability to set your background on this page from November 16, 2012.

Personally, I do not understand such a decision of the company. Perhaps there are not so many users of this function, but someone like me, for example, really liked it and, most importantly, in no way disturbed others, since the picture is tied to a google account.

Maybe someone knows where you can sign some kind of petition, so that this simple, but beautiful, function is still left?
