Packt Publishing published the results.
In 2007, the
Overall 2007 Open Source CMS Award nomination won
CMS Drupal . With 18,000 votes for Drupal, combined with expert opinions from the jury, Drupal is declared the winner! And how the final winner gets a check for $ 5,000.
Joomla! and Drupal, who took the first two places last year, retained a degree of quality, which allowed them to remain in the lead this year. Joomla! remained in the top three winners, she took second place and received a check for $ 3,000. Third place and a check for $ 2000 receives CMS Made Simple.

Seeing the light in 2001, CMS Drupal has become one of the most downloaded Open Source CMS, with one of the most dedicated and enthusiastic community. “This is a huge honor for the entire Drupal community and for the thousands of individual developers who have contributed to the project,” says Jeff Eaton, developer and designer of Drupal core, “We worked to make Drupal flexible, scalable, and affordable. This is a great week for all of Open Source; the winners in each category showed that OSS can produce decent solutions for a wide range of needs. ”
The winners in the categories were also determined: the best Open Source PHP Content Management System, the best non-PHP CMS, the best Open Source Social Networking and also the most promising Open Source CMS. In the Best Open Source PHP CMS nomination, Joomla! Took the first place! Having pressed Drupal to the second place. The prize fund this year amounted to a total of $ 20,000.

Awards were instituted to recognize and award CMS's for their consistently high results in a very competitive field. This year, the award confirms this, and also shows that there is no one leading CMS, in each category there are excellent solutions that will suit an individual user based on his desires and requirements.
