According to Nokia, in Q3 only 6.3 million devices were sold.
For comparison, the Chinese ZTE came out with the result of 7.5 million devices, which is 82.9% more than last year.

Dizzy from the success of the company played against Nokia: stuck on Symbian, the Finns began to lose the market, and switching to a contradictory mobile OS from microsoft, finally scared away the remaining loyal customers of the company.
“Nevertheless, the smartphone market is still developing, and this means that there are places for several vendors and various operating systems, including Nokia,” said Kevin Restavo, senior analyst at IDC.
Samsung remains the leader of the smartphone market, having shipped 56 million smartphones to the market in the third quarter of 2012. Samsung’s share rose to 31.3 percent, compared to 22.7 percent last year (28.1 million units).
