Minix NEO G4 - a miniature PC with a dual-core processor for 76 $.

Every day the number of mini-PC models of different kinds, which are descendants, or at least distant relatives of the Raspberry Pi, increases. At the same time, many models are superior to the "berry" in characteristics, while not being very expensive. It is worth assessing the Minix NEO G4, a computer the size of ... well, not a flash drive, a bit larger, but still very small. At the same time, Minix NEO G4 has good characteristics.

This mini-PC has a dual-core Rockchip RK3066 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, plus Android 4.0 OS, with the ability to upgrade to version 4.1. The cost of such a "strong" baby is not as high as it might seem - $ 76 ( sold here ).

Like many other models, the Minix NEO G4 has HDMI and USB ports for connecting a monitor or TV, keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals. Among other things, the Minix NEO G4 has a wireless communication module WiFi. For memory expansion there is a slot for memory cards microSD.

Unfortunately, since this mini PC is based on the Rockchip RK3066 platform, Linux or other operating systems cannot be installed. Perhaps there are craftsmen who can install a third-party OS, but this is not so easy.

Here is a couple of videos with this computer, including the opening of a box with a new Minix NEO G4, plus testing the capabilities of the device.
