Twins of Russian Wikipedia

The Russian Wikipedia found several "twins", which completely or partially copy the original materials from the folk encyclopedia. Although this does not contradict “copyleft” , it is not entirely clear what the purpose of such sites is, because a copy can never be better than the original. Perhaps spammers simply use Wikipedia to easily create doorways.

One of these "doubles" - site ruWiki.com . This resource honestly admits that all materials are taken from Wikipedia (link at the bottom of the page). At the same time the site design is more than modest, and many illustrations are not copied from the original resource. What is characteristic, according to some of the articles, the rating of this site in Yandex is even higher than that of Wikipedia itself.

Another “twin” is called the Wiki Encyclopedia and almost completely copies the design of the original resource, plus advertising modules are added here. The creators of this site are less cleanly. They not only do not provide a link to the original, but also indicate their own copyright on the page.
