Another operating system running Chromebook is Fedora

A few weeks ago, Google presented to the public its vision of the future of cloud technologies in the form of a laptop with Chrome OS for $ 249.

It’s difficult to explain the possible loss of digital comfort, which will happen immediately if the owner of the Chromebook leaves the Internet coverage area, has made it possible to look for ways to launch full-fledged operating systems on a cheap and relatively efficient computer. And, as we know , on a computer from Google managed to run Ubuntu, but this was not limited to this.

Someone Christopher Hewitt on his page on the social network lists instructions (rather long and not very readable) on installing Fedora 17 with the Xfce environment onto an SD card with dual-boot capability without losing ChromeOS.

Unfortunately, there is no imputed video to evaluate the speed of the system or a simple comment like “Yes, it works, but it slows down a little!” Not yet (although such questions come in the comments), but the fact that an obviously cheap laptop will soon fit to complete the work almost no doubt.
