Adobe sends incomprehensible letters
As recently as today, a courier arrived at our office and delivered a wonderful letter. Image under the cut. Having printed out the envelope, we were at first a little taken aback - at first we were intrusively called on work phones and demanded a director, then the story began with letters.
Below is a little tale about how we communicated with Adobe.

The fact is that our entire office works on the basis of OS Linux, so we could not use their products for good reason. Using the phone number indicated in the letter, we called Anton Pakhomov to clarify the circumstances. Namely: what does this letter mean? Unfortunately, in a telephone conversation, we could not figure out the following points:
We also asked a few questions about the mysterious "Audit". We were offered by our IT administrators to conduct an audit and send the results to Mr. Pakhomov. To which we reasonably replied that this is impossible. And that we will be happy to show workstations with Linux to representatives of Adobe, if they appear in person. After this notification, Mr. Pakhomov began to tell us about the possibility of verification by law enforcement agencies. What was, apparently, the final point of the already unpleasant dialogue.
Consequently, we would like to share with the IT-community this information about the “letters of happiness” and calls. We are distracted from work and threateningly asked to provide some information "for the right holders." Against this background, we are pleased that we have The Gimp and Inkscape for work, thanks to which we can have nothing in common with the Russian representation of Adobe and Mr. Pakhomov personally. Apparently, Abode started the season of "witch hunt", in which they can only sympathize.

- Based on what information they have “reasons to believe” that we use unlicensed software.
- On the basis of what legal regulations do they require information from us about the internal organization of the company (yes, we were asked about the number of employees and computers).
