High technology will replace school diaries in Malaysia

The system of student diaries used for decades as a means of communication between teachers and parents of schoolchildren was morally obsolete and almost completely outdated. Cases where children forge the signatures of their elders under the remarks of teachers become everyday reality. To improve the way of bringing information to parents about the success and behavior of their children in Malaysia they introduce an absolutely new accounting system based on Internet technologies, reports RIA Novosti .

From now on, all data on the grades received, remarks on the behavior of pupils and other important information will be posted in real time on school websites, where parents will get round-the-clock access. “Another innovation is the organization of so-called chat sites where parents can ask questions to a teacher,” commented Saharizan Tuan Hamzah, assistant director of the Department of Economic Planning of the State of Kelantan Sakharizan Tuan Hamzah. “They will also have access to the results of test and examination papers, tests and delivery of standards.”
