3G in Samara

Today, November 2, MSS-Volga, representing the MegaFon brand in the Volga Federal District, will officially announce its readiness to provide services based on the 3G standard. The announcement will be made in the presence of journalists invited to the MCC-Volga region's central office. It is also expected to publish a press release and a demonstration of the capabilities of 3G (in particular, video calls).

Other details, unfortunately, are not yet known to me. So, in particular, I do not know what will be the area for the provision of services, and in what mode it will act. But the fact that Samara is the second after Peter is already pleasing.

- The demonstration of opportunities took place - the same video calls were shown to journalists, which, apparently, will be positioned as one of the main "chips" of 3G, as well as PTT and something else. The press release, apparently, will not be, as well as announcements about the official launch dates of the service. However, according to rumors, this will happen in the summer of 2008.
