Waiting for the second coming. Commentary on one discussion on Web 3.0 prospects.

What you will read below is made on the basis of my final comment to my own note β€œ Three reasons why we will never see Web 3.0 ”, a link to which I posted in the collective blog β€œ Web 2.0 ”. However, based on the β€œ last comment effect ”, very few people will read it. What practice once again and confirmed. That is why I decided to duplicate this comment in a slightly revised and expanded form in my personal iTech Bridge blog . Below - excerpts from it.

Messiah under number 3. Firstly, I finally understood for myself that the Internet masses are looking forward to the second coming under the third number. Tired of all of them Web 2.0. They are waiting for the messiah and faithfully believe in him.

We believe ... Well, which means that, like all believers, those who are waiting for the new web do not want to engage in controversy with the doubters. After all, these doubters express clearly seditious thoughts and ask uncomfortable questions. It is better to just believe, and non-believers "on the fire." Yes, and fairy tales with a happy end, in any case, it is more pleasant to read than the harsh prose of real life. That is why so few turned out to be those who decided to enter into a discussion with me about the essence of expressed doubts. Were limited to simple "minus" ...

Another face of the business web. But every cloud has a silver lining. Reading some comments, including in LiveJournal, I suddenly realized that I had made a mistake in the previously made classification scheme of the business-oriented social Internet and in my Formulas for Success. I did not take into account its commercial component. In this sin of mine, I confess and have already been corrected (a new note here ).
')
That's what they fought for. And finally, the most important thing. No, it’s not for nothing that my companions started to talk insistently about the shortcomings of the existing social web. It seems to me that the process of his growing up still went. Judge for yourself. Of at least 250 who read the note (only on the counter at iTech Bridge) in question, at least 10 people did not agree with me (in HabrΓ©, I, unfortunately, can only see the difference between positive and negative feedback) ). And at the same time only one (!) Of them decided to lower my karma. Moreover, I have not received a single (!) Rude comment. Just a great result! After all, opponents should be. Without them, life becomes fresh. The main thing is not to agree with the author did not go "on the individual." And let truth be born in a dispute. Who knows, maybe this will be the essence of the new social web, whatever name or number it would appear?
