CFP started at Positive Hack Days III

Hello! We invite you to make presentations in the program of the international forum on practical safety Positive Hack Days III, which will be held May 22-23, 2013.

The forum held in 2012 brought together 1,500 information security specialists from around the world. More than 50 reports, workshops, seminars and round tables. Among the speakers were prominent representatives of the industry, such as Bruce Schneier and IMPACT Chairman Datuk Mohd Nur Amin. Alexander Gostev from Kaspersky Lab for the first time spoke in detail about the spyware program Flame, and Heizem El Mir told about the confrontation between Tunisia and Anonymous. At PHDays 2012, Apple iPhone, Windows XP and FreeBSD were successfully cracked, simulated situations of stealing funds from ATMs and RBS systems and seizing control over industrial facilities through an automated process control system (SCADA).

If you want to share your experience, research results or demonstrate your skills, then at the end of May 2013 we are waiting for you in Moscow. Without you, this event will not take place!

Principles of selection

We do not have strict limitations; a reputed expert in the field of information security and a novice specialist can become a speaker. Our goal is to create conditions for live informal communication between all representatives of the information security industry. The main requirement is an interesting report on one of the problems of information security, the novelty and relevance of the issues covered, professionalism and competence.

Each application will be reviewed by the organizers; only the best will be selected.

Topics

Subject of the report should relate to the field of information security. Topics of interest to us:

• security of critical information systems;
• anti-fraud;
• cybercrime and incident investigation;
• state and corporate security in the WikiLeaks era;
• cyber warfare and cyber espionage;
• protection of cloud computing and virtual infrastructure;
• counteracting zero-day attacks;
• DDoS protection;
• applied cryptography;
• safety of industrial control system (SCADA);
• protection of business applications and ERP;
• communication network security;
• application security.

If your report covers another area of ​​information security, but you find it interesting for the community, be sure to send it to us.

Attention! We do not accept reports promoting specific products, services or companies.

Request

The application for a speech must contain the following data.
Information about the speaker:

• first and last name;
• brief biography (education, main places of work, positions, main professional achievements);
• place of residence of the speaker (country, city);
• contact information (telephone, e-mail).

Information about the report:

• title;
• a brief description of the report (500 characters);
• main theses (in expanded form);
• status of the report (whether it was previously published and where);
• presence of demonstrations, utilities, zero-day vulnerabilities, etc.

In addition, the speaker needs to specify the specific wishes for the organization of his speech (technical equipment, tools, etc.).

It is advisable to submit a report in Russian or English.

How to apply

You must e-mail a request with all the necessary information.
Accepting applications for participation in the conference as a speaker will be held in two stages:

• first stage: October 29, 2012 - January 27, 2013;
• second stage: February 18, 2013 - April 14, 2013

Travel and accommodation

The organizers partially or fully pay for travel and accommodation of speakers (the decision is made individually for each speaker).
