There is no single tax to Russian IT

Russian software developers will not receive the tax benefits promised by the authorities. The fact is that the budget committee of the Federation Council, under pressure from the presidential administration, revised its decision and supported the law, according to which, instead of replacing all taxes with a single payment, the IT business will receive only insignificant benefits for the unified social tax and profit tax, the Kommersant newspaper reports.

According to the logic of the presidential administration, the new special regimes will provoke the emergence of the next tax holes. Moreover, in addition to IT, there are three other priority sectors in the country - energy, aviation and shipbuilding - there will not be special regimes introduced in them, therefore, for the sake of justice, it was decided not to give big benefits to any of the industries.
As a result, instead of adopting a separate chapter of the Tax Code (NK), deputies limited themselves only to the approval of two amendments - a certain reduction in the social tax rate for programmers and the inclusion of the cost of computers they buy into costs (due to this benefit, companies can save on income tax) .

In the Senate, these events were not without passions, the result of which was the promise of Sergei Sobyanin, the head of the presidential administration, “not to completely bury” the head of the NK about the social regime - the parties will return to its discussion in the fall.
