The
Day without paper today is an event that ABBYY simply cannot pass. Why? Because we have OCR, without which SED is unthinkable. Because we organize DocFlow. And in general, most of the staff is not all the same. True, this can only be confirmed by screenshots from the internal forum, but they will not be here. And here there will be no stories that the average office worker exhausts about 10k pages per year to his office and office tasks. And even that 45% of these documents are no longer needed the next day.
But there will be a story that the company not only talks about caring for the environment, but also itself adheres to the correct principles.
In the process of “marking” past “days without paper” in the ABBYY office, boxes were put in which employees were asked to put waste paper for further processing. But the action was a one-off, which somewhat distressed those who are concerned about environmental issues. At the forum there were ideas that the collection of paper for recycling can be carried out on an ongoing basis. But the idea, of course, looks much simpler than the implementation. It is necessary to provide a place where it will all be convenient to lie, logistics to the point of reception of all good, agree with these very points of reception. I really wanted to believe that I ensured the removal of the “host” collected by the forces. However, on such conditions only those who accept at least 200 kg, work, work. And this is a big mountain that needs to be stored somewhere. As a result, it was decided to take out on their own. In general, fragile girls from the corporate communications department settled this and similar questions.

So, now we have “eco-wall” - a place where you can bring batteries, energy-saving light bulbs, cardboard, magazines and, of course, office paper, which are then sent for recycling. The wall functions only a few days, but it is already clear that it is popular.

Personally, such an initiative of the company is valued even higher than
some others . It is nice to see that concern for the environment is carried out not only in the framework of marketing activities, but also in real life within the company.
Well, the fanfare sounded, now to the point. You can simply envy the employees of our company, and, overcoming difficulties, you can still divide at least some of the garbage and hand over where it should go. In this regard, I recommend the following resources:
- Batteries:
- Energy saving light bulbs:
- All:
If you have something to add, or would like to mention specific (something distinguished) points of reception of all sorts of different things - welcome to the comments.
ps Let's take a joke about saving toilet paper as a button accordion, but it’s already tired. It is possible to catch lulz on the mentioned occasion in old topics (for example,
here ), but this is not necessary.
