The new 4.7-inch Super IPS + screen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels is equipped with Corning Fit scratch-resistant protective glass. It is distinguished by large viewing angles, accurate color reproduction and high brightness (550 cd / m2).
The smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz (GPU Adreno 320) and 2 GB of memory.
The smartphone has two cameras - the front one at 1.2 and the rear one at 13 megapixels, capable of taking photos at a speed of 6 frames per second. The main camera can shoot video in 1080p format at 30 frames per second, or 720p at 60 frames per second. Large aperture (F2,4) and a special processor help to get great pictures in low-light conditions.

In addition, the PadFone 2 and PadFone 2 Station use SonicMaster audio technology, which provides high quality sound. Specialists from Waves Audio, owners of the Technical GRAMMY award, took part in its implementation.
The smartphone is equipped with Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, GLONASS and LTE (including the frequency range of 2600 MHz, used in the Russian Federation). Data transfer rate is supported up to 42 Mbps in DC-HSPA + networks and up to 100 Mbps in LTE networks.
The device is endowed with built-in memory of up to 64 GB. PadFone 2 is not equipped with a slot for memory cards, but all users will be granted free two-year access to the cloud storage of files of ASUS WebStorage 50 GB.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.0 ICS (with a subsequent upgrade to Jelly Bean). PadFone 2 uses micro-SIM cards.
PadFone 2 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 2,140 mAh, which provides up to 16 hours of battery life in talk mode on 3G networks, and the PadFone 2 Station docking station additionally increases this parameter by up to 36 hours.

The smartphone has retained a wedge shape. In fact, the case has no tapering surfaces, and the metal edging and the special shape of the back cover create the impression of a wedge-shaped design. PadFone 2 dimensions are 138 x 69 x 9 mm (in the thickest part).

Tablet station has become thinner and lighter. PadFone 2 mass in the assembled state is 649 g, of which 514 g are at the docking station, and 135 g for the smartphone. The first PadFone weight was 854 g. (130 + 724).

PadFone 2 (including PadFone 2 Station) has two colors: black and white.

Tablet screen has a diagonal of 10.1 inches and a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels.

The mechanism of joining the two components have changed. Padafone 2 easily and securely fits into a vertical notch on the back of the tablet. The smartphone is connected via microUSB and MHL ports.

Combining your smartphone and tablet has become even easier.
By the way, the model will not have an additional keyboard station. Why? PadFone 2 is not a replacement for the first model, but an extension of the line. The user has a choice on which product to stop the selection.

In the near future, we will provide additional information on the price and release date of the product in Russia.
