Freelancer Diary

Today I am announcing a small experiment. On the blog getafreelancer-daily.ru starting from November 1, 2007, for a month every day I will honestly, in detail, without hiding anything, talk about my experience in remote work. Up to how much I was paid for the project, how much time I spent searching, excerpts from correspondence with the customer, etc. All very specific with numbers and links.

A little bit about yourself. I am 27 years old, my name is Sergey, I live in Donetsk, Ukraine. I have a permanent job (programmer + system administrator), I have my own Internet projects. Some experience in freelancing is from both the performer and the customer. I do not consider myself an outstanding specialist in any field - I know everything a bit.

In my opinion, almost every office worker in the IT sector can earn freelance amounts several times (and even many times) that exceed the average salary in the industry in Russia or Ukraine (especially in small cities that are far from the center).

So, the goal of the experiment is to find out HOW MUCH can be earned on freelancing for a month, especially without straining to the average “broad-based IT specialist” :-) in a part-time mode, and at the same time tell and show in detail to beginners HOW you can earn.
