Internet school

-2007 Last Friday, October 26, 2007, within the framework of the VII international exhibition-forum “Infocommunications of Russia - XXI Century” ( Infocom-2007 ), several events were held under the title “Internet School” . The “Schools” program was divided into two parts: master classes and a round table on the topic “Blogs, social networks ... what's next?”. Among the companies participating in the event were: SUP, Liveinternet, Dairy, Classmates, Rambler Planet, Mail Blogs, Vkontakte, Google, My Circle. As well as well-known Internet figures Alex Exler (leading the two parts of the "School") and Anton Nosik .
Despite the informative reports of the “School”, the most highlighted event on the Runet from the exhibition was the summing up of the competition for the “Best IT Blog” . Among the winners awarded and noted were seen: urbansheep: tomorrow = now ; SolarWind Gate. Notes geek ; Gui.ru - usability chronicles ; www.gluek.info blogs and online stuff .

Among the famous names and great accomplishments, attention was turned to the summing up of the results of the competition of Internet sites in secondary educational institutions of the Central Federal District regions during the exhibition. Both official and unofficial websites of schools created by the participants of the educational process (schoolchildren, teachers, parents, librarians, etc.) were allowed to participate in this competition. From more than 200 applications, experts selected winners in three nominations: “The best school site”, “The most interactive site”, “The most informative site”. When summarizing the results of the competition, the following criteria were taken into account: design, interactivity, information content, and innovativeness.
№ 24 The winners of the competition are: Secondary School No. 24 (Stary Oskol, Belgorod Region), Secondary School No. 74 (Yaroslavl) and Secondary School No. 20 (Lyubertsy, Moscow Region). Undoubtedly, there are significantly more school sites than those submitted for the competition. Among the winners, only one site is made by a professional studio . The rest was created by the efforts of students and teachers. By the way, the latter in many schools are not so far from modern Internet technologies.
Internetization of schools began back in 2000, when the non-commercial educational project "Generation.ru" was developed on the initiative of the Yukos Oil Company. The goal of the project is to promote the informatization of Russian education. The main component of the project was the creation in April 2000 of an autonomous non-profit organization , the Federation of Internet Education (FIO). Its task, in turn, was to promote the creation and development in Russia of a state-public system of mass training for general education workers in the field of innovative technologies. Teachers were taught, mainly, to use the global network and create unpretentious web pages (examples of work can be found on the website of the Tambov regional center FIO ). Since March 2000, 236,615 teachers have been trained at 75 training centers . And for many of them, this was a real Internet School, which, in particular, is testified to by the more than two hundred school sites that were announced for such a modest and practically not covered in Runet competition.
