It so happened that I sat there, I dabbled with the branches there, etc. and then after the next manipulations, the console gives me an angry notice, saying I can not update from the source. I thought it over, tried it once more - the effect is the same. Climbed on the beanstalk itself to deal with the keys but it was not there!
For those who do not know what beanstalk is, in brief I will tell you, this is one of the largest repo providers. They provide git, svn, mercurial repositories. But this is not just a repository, it is also a convenient service for laying out on servers, etc. (You have to agree, to go into the console every time and not update the update pidalku, and besides, it doesn't work badly via FTP).
After I saw this beautiful welcome message, I thought that Thursday, the day of updates for many large companies, even if it was updated, I waited a little more and then I was alarmed that there was no hint of updates in this message. I reached them on Twitter and found another message.
Surprisingly, one of the largest services, has been operating since 2007 and is running databases in MySQL. Of course, given the specifics of his work, he does not need a special performance, but considering how much data is spinning in the DB, 2 thoughts arise:
- MySQL is not so bad as they say about it, since it is trusted by the largest services. Many say “why not use PostgreSQL instead of MySQL”
- Even large companies make mistakes, but sometimes some cinema mistakes (like this one)
In fact, I myself usually choose MySQL, probably because I'm used to it. Relatively simple SQL.
While this article was being written, guys fix it. It was done exclusively in Russian, just restarted the server (well, so they wrote to the tweeter)
