In order not to search for a long time, I immediately give links to the textbook in PDF format (1.8Mb):

We kindly ask you if you want to talk about this tutorial, then provide a link to the page: http://anton.shevchuk.name/jquery-book/ , because over time I will update the tutorial, and direct links will not be relevant (and maybe even harmful :). Of course, I will try to keep references to Habré up to date, but randomness is possible.

History reference

The first version of jQuery was presented to the public in August of 2006 by developer John Rezig. Until the end of the year, bugfixes were released, which ended in version 1.0.4. In 2007, the development of the 1.1.x branch began and ended; by that time, jQuery was already beginning to win the hearts of developers. In February 2008, version 1.2.3 is released, and Toronto designer Nick La writes a wonderful article, jQuery Tutorials for Designers , and over a thousand comments have already been written to it. And so, in March of the same year, I publish a translation of this article on my blog, with which the series “for beginners” begins.

To make it not so boring to read the announcement, I decided to dilute the information with statistics, and it may be curious:

Part 9. Writing animation plugins (November 2010):

The whole series for the period 2008-2012:
