Visual editor BB codes for phpBB3

Not so long ago, I already wrote about the visual (WYSIWYG) editor of BB codes - WysiBB . Since the writing of that article, a lot of work has been done to finalize the editor. WysiBB has been rewritten from scratch. The appearance of the editor has changed, and the most important thing has been a lot of improvements for making WysiBB more simple and fine-tuning. In particular, adding your BB codes has become much easier.

But I did not intend to dwell on this, and it is time to create a convenient and full-fledged mod for the phpBB3 forum. Why choose phpBB3? Well, firstly, the official forum works exactly on this engine, and already therefore it was easiest to test, it is very popular and did not have a good WYSIWYG editor.

So after the work done, a mod appeared that can be easily installed on phpBB3 and has a full-fledged admin area for managing and editing the editor.

I will note some of the features of this modification:

• Setup via admin panel
• Automatic setting of custom BB codes (they are required to be enabled via the “BB codes on” admin panel)
• Downloading images from a local disk to imageshack.us or using phpBB3 attachments
• Investment support

I think this mod can be very useful for many forum owners on phpBB3. In the future we plan to create mods for other platforms. At the moment, for other platforms there are unofficial modifications for SMF , PunBB .
