ASUSTeK Computer introduced the second generation of the ASUS PadFone smartphone in Taipei.
The smartphone has an enlarged display with enhanced image quality and a diagonal of 4.7 inches, Super IPS + technology, Sharp IGZO, and the resolution is 720p. The screen protects the glass Corning Fit Glass (the same is used in the tablet Nexus 7).

There is a 13-megapixel f / 2.4 camera with a BSI-sensor from Sony and a 1.2-megapixel front camera.
The device runs on a quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 chip and is equipped with the Android operating system version of
Ice Cream Sandwich , but ASUS promises an upgrade to Jelly Bean.

In Taiwan, the device in the black version will be available next week, the white version will appear a little later.
The cost varies from about 620 to 750 US dollars (for the Taiwanese market), depending on the amount of internal memory.
