Created the world's first "printed" on a 3D printer acoustic guitar

It seems that 3D printers will soon really become an integral part of our life with you. There are all prerequisites for this: they are getting cheaper, they are becoming more and more universal and practical. That only did not print already on the 3D printer: and cakes, and lamps, and complex scientific devices. Now, on a 3D printer, they have created a full-fledged acoustic guitar, which, according to its creator, is superior in many respects to high-quality guitars, assembled by hand (and even more so, factory-made guitars).

The author of the project name is Scott Summit. He first created a guitar model, which he considered almost perfect. Then I used professional (if this word is applicable to this equipment) 3D printers to recreate the guitar in reality. In fairness it should be noted that electric guitars were already printed on 3D printers, since they are somewhat easier to create than acoustics.

Scott Summit itself is a 3D printing specialist. His current activity is related to the creation of complex prostheses and body parts on a 3D printer (which in itself is no longer news). Creating a guitar is a new experience for Scott, he decided to “print” the guitar, because from childhood he loved this musical instrument.

At first, Scott believed that since the guitar will be made of plastic, its sound will be much worse than that of the standard $ 100 acoustic system, which the master owns for a long time. He was also afraid that when stringing the strings, the plastic guitar would simply break, or even burst, flying apart into pieces. After making the model, it turned out that all fears are superfluous. The guitar sounds just fine, and does not break.

After some time, Scott is going to create even better models, considering the current project to be one of the trial versions, and quite raw.
