Inheritance from his older brother GALAXY S III Mini got the function Smart Stay, which with the help of the front camera captures the movements of the wearer's eyes and goes into sleep mode only when the user does not look at the screen for a while.

Also, the device has a built-in Direct Call tool, which, by recognizing gestures and the proximity sensor, helps to automatically switch from a message dialing mode to a call to the same subscriber when the smartphone is brought to the ear.

GALAXY S III Mini can share files with GALAXY S III and GALAXY Note II using the S Beam service. The function is a hybrid of NFC and Wi-Fi Direct: near-field communication allows devices to authorize each other, and Wi-Fi Direct provides fast transfer of large volumes of files (up to 250 Mb / s).

Currently, Samsung leads the global smartphone market: according to analysts from IDC, the company's share in the mobile segment in terms of the number of shipped devices in the second quarter of this year was 32.6%.
