SanDisk has published information about the new device called Sansa TakeTV. This is, in fact, the usual drive with a USB interface and video playback function. But it is designed to view recorded movies on TV.

SanDisk plans to release Sansa TakeTV in two versions, with 4 and 8 GB of memory on board. Included with the device is a remote control and a special module (S-Video jack and composite AV output), with which the drive can be connected to a TV.
Among the supported formats are DivX, XVID, MPEG-43 and other common. Sansa TakeTV works with Windows Vista, XP, Mac OS and Linux.
The novelty will cost $ 100 (4 Gb) and $ 150 (8 Gb).
