I have long decided for myself that I am not going to climb anything from Vind. No matter what it will be: Linux, Macintosh, ReactOS, BeOS, MS-DOS and their ilk. And that's why.

For me, OS is not a goal, but a means. As in other matters, and the computer itself. This is not tamagochchi, which is necessary every day / week / month to fix, patch, tweak and upgrade. I just want to quietly work, have fun and communicate. And when switching to any other operating system that is different from the usual one, this cannot be avoided. Sometimes in order to do something completely trivial for a Win-machine user, in Linux you need to sit for a couple of (?) Hours with manuals, cuddle the console, ask the hall for help and make a call to a friend.
And even if I need to do all this once, the question arises - Why do I need it? Is after this come the sudden happiness? Will I be the owner of an ideal system?
No, I'll just get another tool. It will be new to me, unusual, of course there will be things that will delight me, but there will be roughness, which will cut the eye and distract. So why is all this necessary?
I have an OSE, to which I’m used to, if not perfect, albeit full of holes, with glitches and bugs, but I know this OS. I have a software for it, which I used to, I know how to deal with its problems. SHE ME MEETS. And it seems to me that this is important.
As they say in advertising one famous drink - “Do what feels good”. I do not call anyone for anything. I do not agitate for this or that OS. After all, if we change the names of operating systems in places in this topic, I think that my thoughts will suit almost every one of you. And everything else from the evil one. This is the market in which the products are sold. It does not matter whether it is for money, for the number of adepts, but for anything.
So let it be a lot of fans - to help software giants to tear off each other's market segments. And we will take the best for ourselves .
