Microsoft creates a prototype wearable manipulator in 3D space

Microsoft Research does not cease to amaze us with its developments in the field of augmented reality and innovative interfaces. The novelty will be officially presented at the 25th ACM Symposium .
The device in the form of a bracelet tracks the position of the hand and fingers for control in 3D space using an infrared laser, a camera and a diffuser.


The device can be used to control a computer or in video games, and is already able to recognize common gestures.

The creation of such a manipulator is also possibly associated with another project from Microsoft Research, Project Fortaleza, which can compete with Google’s Project Glass points.
